About The Aster Flower

Aster flowers are very beautiful and come in a few different colors such as lilac, mauve, red, white, pink, depending on the specific type of each aster flower. It is in the family of Asteraceae, which now encompasses about 180 species all of which are found in Eurasia. It is a good flower for the end of summer because it thrives in moist and cool summers, so the end of summer is perfect. This flower also attracts butterflies. In Greek, aster means “star” which is what the head of the flower looks like. In the early 1900s there was a revolution called the Aster Revolution in Hungary, because the protesters were wearing flowers to represent themselves. The aster flower represents daintiness, love, faith, wisdom, and magic.
